Noyce Internship applications for the fall 2014 semester are due Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014 at 5:00pm. All VolsTeach students in good academic standing are eligible to apply for internships. Everyone interested, including those who currently have an internship, must complete an application to be considered for Fall 2014.
Fall Opportunities Include:
-VolsTeach Instructional Assistant- Assist VolsTeach students with making lesson plans to teach in the schools.
-Microbiology Teacher Assistant- Assist graduate teaching assistant in undergraduate microbiology labs. Must be completed with Micro 210 and 310.
-Physics Demonstration Assistant- Present demos in physics lectures and create new demo lessons. Must be physics major.
-NIMBioS Outreach Intern- Assist with education and outreach activities at the centers. Creating math- biology modules and exploring partnership with other community organizations.
-Knoxville Zoo Education- Assist the instructor by making and teaching science and math education lessons.
-Tutor- Tutor math and/or science at a local Knox County middle or high school.
-Biology in a Box Assistant-Assist with developing STEM modules for high school classrooms.
-Open to various opportunities on and off campus. Details provided at a later date.
